Interactions with other drugs
Many drug misusers take a variety of different drugs. This is known as polydrug abuse. Polydrug use is the use of more than one drug, often with the intention of enhancing or countering the effects of another drug. Polydrug use may however simply occur because the user's preferred drug is unavailable (or too expensive) at the time. The most common drug taken in combination with others is alcohol. Mixing drugs can be dangerous.
